About & Method
We buy the product, put it in a real kitchen or real home, and measure the numbers the spec sheet won't give you — noise in decibels, actual vs. label capacity, preheat time, and 3-month maintenance cost. Then we publish those numbers. No "10 Best" lists, no fake data.
Why this site exists
Most appliance reviews read the same: a "10 Best" list, stock photos, and a affiliate link — written by someone who never owned the product. The two questions buyers actually have (does it fit my kitchen? will it be loud? will it fit a whole chicken?) are almost never answered with real numbers.
HomeTest exists to answer those with measurements. Every review leads with the original data point only we recorded.
What we measure (and how)

What we don't do
- No fake "Top 10" fluff lists — we publish measurements.
- No hardcoded prices — every price links to the live Amazon product page and is clearly marked "may change."
- No recommending a product we haven't actually run.
